Grand Rapids-Produced Film ‘The Perfect Romance’ Adds Another Showing [Video]
A locally-produced, independently-made romantic comedy filmed in Grand Rapids premiered on Christmas Day and now has another showing next month.
“The Perfect Romance” was written by comedian-entertainer and entrepreneur Brandon Queshawn, has another showing at 5 p.m. Jan. 18 at Celebration! Cinema Woodland, 3195 28th Street SE. (The date initially was Jan. 4 and had been also moved to Jan. 17, but it’s now set supposedly.)
In the movie, Queshawn plays a radio show host and marketing executive who desperately reaches out telling the truth for the first time in his life. However, will the woman of his dreams (portrayed by Nesha Nichols, a Grand Rapids model, actress, writer and host) believe him?
The project’s screenplay is by Cody Tubbs, the principal in Tubbs Media. The movie was directed by Queshawn, Tubbs and Moe McCoy. The film was produced by McCoy, who formerly hosted “The Fireproof Radio Show” on 1410 AM The Touch with Queshawn a show regular.
Also starring in the movie are Lacy Jones, Gonzalo Pagan, Ebony Mayberry and McCoy.
McCoy says about “The Perfect Romance” plot:
Fate has another plan when this assistant administers a heavy dose of punishment on the form of a wish for truth. Brandon now spends his days and nights trying to prove he is real to the woman of his dreams. It seems this newfound truth gets Brandon in more hot water than ever.
Others involved with the 75-minute production include Fireproof TV and DuBoise Enterprise.
