Now, City High Middle school has been ranked the #3 high school in the state of Michigan by U.S. News and World Report. It is the #1 high school in West Michigan and #47 in the nation, according to the report.
Today, Wednesday, October 7 is one of two designated "count days" as required by the State School Aid Act to determine state funding for Michigan’s K-12 public school districts. Funding is based on the total student count/attendance on those two days. Obviously, it is vitally important that our schools have all of their students in attendance since their vital state funding counts the heads!
The end of school is an exciting time for a lot of kids, but that summer break is when many families that have children who receive free breakfast and lunch during the school year struggle to put enough food on the table.
That's why Grand Rapids Public Schools have announced that they will offer free meals this summer.
More than 40 teams will play on the frozen surface at Richmond Park in Grand Rapids starting Friday night (Jan. 23) and running through Sunday, Jan. 25. Division finals will be the afternoon of Jan. 25.
