‘SNL’ Sets Michael Keaton and Taraji P. Henson as April Hosts

SNL Michael Keaton Taraji P Henson April Host
Fox Searchlight / FOX

SNL will Rock Studio 8H once again this weekend in returning Furious 7 star Dwayne Johnson to the stage, but April may yet have even more gold in mind. Birdman star Michael Keaton will return to SNL as our first April host, followed by the unstoppable juggernaut of Empire breakout Taraji P. Henson.

Per the 40 year-old sketch comedy veteran’s latest announcement, SNL will make its first April show in one long take (not really) with Michael Keaton’s third outing on April 4, joined by musical guest Carly Rae Jepsen. The week after, on April 11, Cookie will crumble as Empire star Taraji P. Henson makes her hosting debut with Mumford & Sons.

In the meantime, we’ll have Dwayne Johnson and George Ezra leading the charge this weekend, the first promos of which have already made their way online. Will Michael Keaton and Taraji P. Henson fare better, even with Birdman and Empire sketches already in recent memory? who else should host before the May finale?
