Janelle Monae’s ‘Yoga’ Will Motivate You to Do Yoga [Audio]

You know those days when you just can’t seem to get off the couch? When you’d rather lounge around in yoga pants than actually do some yoga? Well, Janelle Monáe has just done the impossible: She released a song that might just motivate you to get up off the couch and do that yoga.

The song is a collaboration with “Classic Man” R&B singer Jidenna, and has all the hallmarks of an instant hit from its bouncing beat and infectious refrain: “Baby, bend over / Let me see you do that yoga!

Janelle posted a few tweets with the hashtag “#yoga” to celebrate the song’s release. Yesterday she posted, “In order to lead effectively, you have to start with YOU first. Get balanced. Center yourself. #Yoga.”

The “Tightrope” singer and Wondaland Records CEO followed that post up with, “Balance in all things. Party and Ponder OR Ponder then party? Story of my life. #Yoga.”
