Israel Houghton, Donnie McClurkin, Natalie Grant, Fred Hammond Headline Super Bowl Gospel Celebration [Video]
Natalie Grant, Israel Houghton, Donnie McClurkin and Fred Hammond are the headliners for the 16th annual NFL Super Bowl Gospel Celebration.
The event, part of Super Bowl XLIX‘s weekend, is Feb. 1 at Arizona State University’s Gammage Hall in Phoenix.
Also performing will be Phoenix native singer-songwriter Mali Music and the NFL Players Choir under McClurkin’s direction.
“The Super Bowl Gospel Celebration has been a formal, sanctioned partner for 16 years, and has played an integral role in bringing together fans and football players under one roof with a shared love of inspirational music,” said Tisha Ford, former NFL director of events business development and an NFL consultant.
Past performers for the event have included Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, Yolanda Adams, Tamela Mann, Mary Mary, Kelly Price, The Clark Sisters, Kirk Franklin and Lecrae.
For the second year, the event is to benefit Memphis-based St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Tickets are currently available at http://www.ticketmaster.com. The show is to air later in February on Centric.
Super Bowl XLIX, the NFL’s championship, is Feb. 1 at University of Phoenix Stadium in Phoenix.
