Grand Rapids Police Officer and 5-Year-Old Boy Share Special Moment

I LOVE these type of stories!

Saturday, Officer Ickes with the Grand Rapids Police Department, was responding to calls on the Northwest Side when he noticed a curious 5-year-old boy in the neighborhood of one of his calls.

So, even though he probably had plenty to get to, he took 10 minutes to make this little boy’s year! Officer Ickes walked over and checked out the 5-year-old’s police car and even let the boy sit in his patrol car and hit some of the buttons! His mom sent the police department a letter and they posted to their Facebook page!

You rock, Officer Ickes!!!
