Mateen Cleaves, who helped lead the Michigan State Spartans to the 2000 NCAA national championship, is currently being investigated in connection with a sexual assault case in Genesee County.

According to MLive, the case was transferred to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office.

Details of the allegations against Cleaves have not been released and the investigation is ongoing.

Cleaves, one of the four members of the Michigan State basketball team dubbed ‘The Flintstones,’ was a three-time captain for the Spartans during his time in East Lansing. He’s also the school’s only three-time All-American.

Cleaves is currently an analyst for Fox Sports Detroit, covering Detroit Pistons basketball, whom Cleaves played for for one season (2000-01).
