After two separate pizza delivery robberies over the weekend on Grand Rapids’ southeast side, police have five people in custody as of Monday morning.WZZM-13 reports that the robberies happened Friday night around 10 p.m. and early this morning around midnight.

Both robberies happened in the 1100 block of Neland Avenue SE. That, along with other similarities lead authorities to believe the robberies were connected.

In a release, GRPD say that after the second robbery, officers were able to conduct a police K9 track to a home in the 1000 block of Alto St SE.

Police found evidence of both robberies inside the residence. Five of the six people present were arrested.

GRPD say the investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information should contact police at 616-456-3400 or Silent Observer at 616-774-2345.
