Watch Ed Sheeran Perform Epic ‘Runaway’/Backstreet Boys Mashup [VIDEO]

Here’s a simple math equation for you: Ed Sheeran + Backstreet Boys = LOVE.

Ed Sheeran, musical genius that he is, mashed up his song ‘Runaway’ with the Backstreet Boys’ anthem ‘Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)’ while performing recently. (Yes, we’ll give you a moment to let that epic moment sink in.) And just in case that isn’t enough mind-blowing awesomeness for you, BSB and Sheeran had a total lovefest on Twitter about it. OMG.

Let’s break it down:

While performing in L.A. in late August, Sheeran decided to combine ‘Runaway’ with the epic Backstreet jam ‘Everybody,’ because he is a huge BSB fan and because he’s Ed Sheeran and can do no wrong. Of course, the crowd got super into it (when you combine the talent of Ed Sheeran with the Backstreet Boys, what’s not to love?) Eventually the epic mashup made its way to the guys of BSB, who tweeted Sheeran about it last night, writing:

Of course, Sheeran probably meant that the crowd “sang” it so loud, but really, the crowd could have done just about whatever they wanted because it was Backstreet Boys and Ed Sheeran. And that’s all we have to say about that.
