Detroit Lions Select Ohio State’s Taylor Decker with 16th Pick in NFL Draft
With the 16th pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions selected Ohio State offensive tackle Taylor Decker.
Originally a Notre Dame commit, Decker ultimately ended up at Ohio State, where he became a starter on the Buckeyes offensive line his sophomore year, according to Wikipedia.
Decker made the move from right tackle to left tackle his junior year and started all fifteen games for the Buckeyes in a season in which they won the College Football Playoff National Championship.
Decker joins a Lions offensive line that also features last year’s first round pick, Laken Tomlinson.
With the first overall pick in the draft, the Los Angeles Rams selected Cal quarterback Jared Goff.
