Chauncey Billups and Ben Wallace, both integral parts of the Detroit Pistons‘ 2004 championship team, will have their numbers retired at some point this season.

The Detroit Free Press reports that the organization will retire the players’ numbers at two separate game-night ceremonies later this season.

Billups, known to fans as ‘Mr. Big Shot,’ spent eight seasons in Detroit, leading the Pistons to the 2004 NBA championship.

Billups played for four different teams before arriving in the Motor City and cementing himself as one of the all-time great Pistons. Billups returned to Detroit for one last run, before retiring at the end of the 2013-14 season.

Wallace was also a member of the 2004 NBA championship team. He spent nine seasons in Detroit over two separate stints. He was a 4-time NBA All-Star and a 4-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year. He holds the Pistons‘ record for most blocked shots in team history.

Billups’ #1 and Wallace’s #3 are expected to be retired at high profile games later this season, to make sure the two fan favorites get the recognition they deserve.

One can only assume that ‘Rip’ Hamilton, Rasheed Wallace, and Tayshaun Prince’s jersey retirements can’t be that far behind.
