Check your cabinets because Bumble Bee has recalled about 31,500 cases of their 5 oz. canned chunk light tuna.

According to Bumble Bee’s website, the recall is

…due to process deviations that occurred in a co-pack facility not owned or operated by Bumble Bee.”

Although no one has been reported sick, these deviations cause spoilage concerns which could lead to life-threatening illnesses if eaten.

These cans were produced in February 2016 and distributed nationally. 3 specific UPC codes with specific “best by” dates were affected. To see if your can(s) is one of them you can see it here.

The affected cans have already been pulled off shelves but Bumble Bee is advising people to throw these cans out.

If you need more information about the recall or questions regarding reimbursement you can contact the company at (888) 820-1947 or visit
