2014’s Snowiest Year in Grand Rapids History Through November 19

Matt Milhouse

Add the finish Grand Rapids had to last winter to the start we’ve seen this season and 2014 is the snowiest calendar year on record for Grand Rapids through November 19.

It’s not even close.

November 2014 is the fourth snowiest in Grand Rapids history, just 4 inches from the record of 28.2 set in 1895. It’s probably only a matter of time before that record falls.

Add that to snowfall totals from last winter and we’ve easily broken the calendar year record for snowfall through November 19.

Almost two feet ahead of the record and we’re not done yet.

Happy shoveling.
