1410 AM The Touch Adds Michigan News Network to Line-Up
1410 AM The Touch joins the Michigan News Network starting today.
That means 1410 AM The Touch listeners will now get top-of-the-hour news weekdays from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 60-second sports updates three times daily, Townsquare Media Grand Rapids General Manager Russ Hines and Operations Manager Tom Cook announced.
The Michigan News Network, operated by CBS Radio and Townsquare Media, Inc., provides its 20 affiliates across Michigan with news, sports and other local content produced by CBS RADIO stations WWJ Newsradio 950 (WWJ-AM) and 97.1 The Ticket (WXYT-FM).
The network debuted today for affiliates in Grand Rapids along with stations in Detroit, Flint, Lansing, Kalamazoo and Ann Arbor.
WWJ Newsradio 950 is Michigan’s only all-news radio station, providing live and local content 24 hours a day. In 2014, WWJ was named Station of the Year by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters.
As Detroit’s sports talk leader, serves as the flagship home of Detroit Lions NFL football, Detroit Tigers Major League Baseball and Detroit Red Wings NHL hockey.
Townsquare Media Grand Rapids, which operates 1410 AM The Touch in addition to 97.9 WGRD, Channel 95.7, 100.5 The River and Greatest Hits 98.7 WFGR, is owned by Greenwich, Conn.-based Townsquare Media.
